Frequently Asked Questions

Here are the answers to some concerns and misconceptions that our neighbors have about joining the Stonehaven Place VHOA.

By saying this and not joining the VHOA, then you’re saying, “It’s okay for someone else to carry me.”

You can only control what YOU as an individual can do to support and help the community.

EVERY household is needed and DOES make a difference in contributing to the VHOA.

The dues collected from the VHOA are NOT going toward social events.

The dues will go toward the maintenance of the grounds and the “running of the business” of the VHOA.

Any social events will either be coordinated at no cost or be funded by money that is raised by the VHOA. Since the social activities will be coordinated by the VHOA, some events will be available to the VHOA members as a “Thank You” for their support!

It will be important when YOU are trying to sell your home and prospective buyers and their realtors are driving around neighborhoods to see which ones they like.

Would you buy a home in a neighborhood where the entrances are not kept up? Realtors can tell you it creates the impression that the residents don’t care about their community.

If we DO NOT have the VHOA to collect dues to pay for maintenance of the grounds, then it will be taken over by the City of Plano. This means no watering, no fertilizing, no maintenance of the beds, no flowers, no annual care! The city will mow every 3 to 4 weeks only because of the limitations on manpower and funding.

Let's keep our curb appeal! Please think of this when you are trying to sell your home and when prospective buyers are driving into our development and passing through the entrances.

We have been very careful and always work to be frugal with our spending, in the hopes that the dues will be lower in succeeding years. If more homes join, then it will cost less for all of us.

It's not too late to join — YOU can make a difference! Sign up now!
